Meet Dr. Wilson

David L. Wilson, DMD, FAGD

Dr. David Wilson is proud to be a long-time native of the Portland area. Upon high school graduation he attended the University of Oregon, where he earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree. Dr. Wilson then attended Oregon Health & Sciences University, graduating with high honors in 1998 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

Dr. Wilson spent the next two years in Chicago, Illinois attending a General Practice Residency at Illinois Masonic Medical Center. There Dr. Wilson cultivated strong interests in both prosthodontics and anesthesiology. Consequently, Dr. Wilson particularly enjoys restorative dentistry with a focus on crowns, bridges and implants, and maintains a general anesthesia license. The latter allowing Dr. Wilson to be one of the few dentists in the state qualified to treat patients in the dental setting with the aid of all forms of sedation/anesthesia.

Upon returning to Portland, Dr. Wilson worked as an associate dentist in Lake Oswego and Troutdale prior to his permanent location in Tigard.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Multnomah Dental Society. Dr. Wilson was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2004 and has served on the board of the Oregon Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Wilson is married to Dr. Karole Wilson, a pediatric dentist, whom also practices in Tigard, Oregon. Their free time is spent with family and friends, and more often than not you can find them enjoying the outdoors. Dr. Wilson is especially fond of alpine sports; skiing, hiking, and mountain climbing are among his favorites. In addition to climbing Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams and other local peaks, he has also climbed Mt. Kiliminjaro in Tanzania and Mt. Elbrus in Russia.
